The Yeti Monster Mystery
Yeti is an ape like human which is thought to inhabit Himalayan mountains. It is described as a bipedal ape like beast larger than a human. The scientific community considers it as a myth. But some people think it is real.
British Lieutenant Colonel Charles Howard first coined the term the abominable snowman in 1921 British mount Everest expedition.
He found footprints near the Col Lhakpa La which is at the height of 22470 ft. Charles thought the footprint may have been of a wolf but he also said that it might be of a human.
Later a skull was discovered in 1954 but it was revealed to be of an Asiatic black bear. After sometime in 1957 a hand was discovered in Himalaya also known as the Pangboche Hand. Scientific analysis discovered that the hand was of a human.
The possible explanation for it might be a Himalayan brown bear or a monkey. The Asiatic black bear is also a possible explanation as it can sometime walk bipedal.
In most of the cases people mistakes bear for Yeti.
As sightings of Yeti has been recorded scene many centuries. A hair sample was from Himalaya was found to be related to a prehistoric polar bear. The DNA analysis of this sample shows the unknown hair sample belonged to ancient polar dating from around 40000-120000 years ago.
However some questions are raised over these studies. We can all wait till we can get clear explanation of Yeti.
