Many people have seen these lights but despite of it there is one possible explanation for this phenomenon. The light may be because of oxidation of methane, phosphine and diphosphane. Phosphine and diphosphine mixture gets very easily ignited on contact with oxygen and also presence of methane can also cause fire. These compounds are naturally present in the marshy area and sudden burning of these compounds may cause a flash of light which might be the reason see such lights.
