Jyoti Amge- The world’s smallest woman
Jyoti Amge is the world’s smallest woman. She was born in Nagpur, India. Jyoti is the world’s smallest woman with the height of just 2 feet and 0.6 inch tall.
She was born on 16 december 1993. Jyoti suffers from Achondroplasia which is the common cause of dwarfism. Achondroplasia is a genetic disorder.
People with Achondroplasia have average height of 52 inches for male and 48 inches for female. People with Achondroplasia have short stature however height of Jyoti was exceptionally small with height of only 24.6 inches.
Achondroplasia does not have any cure. On 21 Dec 2011, Jyoti got listed in Guinness World Records as the world’s smallest woman. She along with Chandra Bahadur Dangi (the world’s shortest man) were featured on the 57th edition of Guinness World record.
Jyoti have appeared on various entertainment shows and news channels. She has appeared in many shows like Body Shock, Big Boss 6 and in the American Horro Story as Ma petite.
Jyoti’s wax statue is present in the celebrity wax museum in Lonavala. She gets constant attention from everyone because of her height. But Jyoti revealed that she likes to be treated like a normal person and does not like being treated as a baby.
